Hosted guests to dinner at the Seletar Tavern over National Day Weekend. Opted for the open section which have a very nice alfresco vibe. However rain clouds gathered n all the diners started moving into the sheltered area. We asked one of the waitress for option and help and all she did was just simply shrugged off and ignored our pleas for help. We had to, on our own accord, request another table to shift n we sorted out table nto the sheltered area amongst the diners without a single assistance from the staff Later as we waited for the waitress to take our ordered, we tried to get the attention of another waiter to help get water for our guests. Despite almost shouting at the top of our voice for his attention and he obviously heard and saw it, he ignored and walked off!!! Later when the waitress came up take orders, she was rude and curt to the extent one of the guest had to remark that the service here was terrible!!! Throughout the entire evening, all the waitresses and waiters were all very unpleasant and just not bothered about their serving attitude. We understand that it was a busy evening and no service charge for this tavern, however this terrible attitudes cannot go on!!! For that matter, we have been here several times before( because of the good food ) but we have never failed to be disappointed repeatedly for this lack of service and unpleasant attitude. Thankfully the quality of the food really saved the day. Hopefully the club management would look into this matter which is not a one off and also experienced by other reviewers!! To add a note, usually a staff by the name of Karen would save the day with her pleasant attitude but unfortunately she was not around during this weekend. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

A perfect evening out with friends to celebrate SG60 turned out to be one huge disappointment. While the food was tasty and ambience relaxing, the experience was tarnished by the lack of service by the waiters/waitresses. It was difficult to get their attention for anything else other than taking your orders (which they did all in a haste and gives one the feeling that they cannot wait to brush you off - zero eye contact with a face that mops the floor) I hope the management can do something about this team of servers...Ive been here several times before and each time I was greeted with a sub standard service...I'm not sure I will return to patronize again Meal type: Dinner Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
