My husband had Hida beef buffet, I chose pork set shabu. The price is reasonable and the quality is perfect. The staff is also nice. It's not far from the train station, I believe i will come back again next time. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If you are visiting Takayama, you absolutely cannot miss Shabu Shabu no Hidaji! It’s an amazing buffet experience. The Hida beef is outstanding and super high quality. On top of the excellent food, the service is stellar, and the overall atmosphere is fantastic. 10/10 highly recommended! Price per person: ¥5,000–6,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Plain and serviceable shabu shabu restaurant with little personality to speak of. Managed by 3 service staff from Myanmar who also ran the kitchen. All customers were tourists. The quality of the frozen beef and pork was ok but there were only thin 4-5 slices of each. A generous serving of vegetables was included in the set meal but overall price to value ratio was below average compared to other Takayama establishments. I would only choose eat here out of convenience. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥3,000–4,000 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
