I visited this small food stall at Rainforest Market and ordered the saozi noodles and a mixed portion of fried tofu and fried pea cake. Both were 70 THB, which I thought was very reasonable. The owner was really kind and friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The saozi noodles weren’t particularly authentic compared with the Chinese version I’m familiar with. To me, they tasted more like spaghetti with a tomato-based meat sauce and a little chilli. However, that doesn’t mean they tasted bad! I actually enjoyed eating them and finished the entire portion. They were simply quite different from what I expected when ordering saozi noodles. The fried snacks were especially delicious. I loved that I could get both fried tofu and fried pea cake in one mixed portion. They were definitely a highlight of the meal. There were also complimentary condiments and drinks, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, I noticed a small insect floating in the free tea. That was quite unpleasant and raised some concerns about drink hygiene. I hope the tea can be checked more carefully. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and finished everything I ordered. The prices were affordable, the owner was lovely, and the fried snacks were excellent. Although the noodles weren’t traditional and the tea incident was disappointing, I still had a positive experience here. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
