This is a budget priced resort, i realise that. You get what you pay for. Let me start with the good. My hut was clean, dry during the rain and had plenty of room. The bed was comfortable. A light quilt and fan were provided. Sparsely furnished. It felt a bit like a jungle stay in a wooden hut. The swimming pool, well to be honest a wading pool, had clean cool water and was pleasant to cool off in on hot afternoons. The location was good a short ride in and out of Pai by motorcycle and I could walk in and out of walking street in daylight. I stayed in one of the huts designated as Double room with Private Balcony. I did not investigate other rooms here. It had no air-conditioning, I missed the subtle ommission in the wording when I booked. Overall that turned out alright as the weather is cooler at this time of year. The resort seems poorly maintained. My private balcony had protruding nails which made walking barefoot a hazard. A few minutes work with a hammer and nail punch could fix that. The wooden chairs were rickety and uncomfortable. One had peeling blue paint that stuck to skin and clothes. Other areas of the resort look overgrown and abandoned. What i assume is a fish pond looked like a fetid, fecund swamp. I didn't eat or drink here, I have no idea about the food. On the plus side it is quiet and secluded. During my visit there were virtually no mosquitoes, it was possible to sit on the balcony and not be eaten alive. Opportunities for improvement. I stayed 7 nights. Changing the bedding and towels once during that stay would be appreciated . Emptying the bins occasionally would also be appreciated. I had to flag down a staff member to empty my bin. An outdoor fan, or an extension cord for the one in the room would have been nice. Overall I probably should have spent a bit more money and stayed elsewhere. That is probably the difference being older makes, no doubt a couple of backpackers sharing the room would consider this excellent.
