For a rather popular frog leg porridge joint in geylang(or at least used to be), I am amazed that there are so little reviews about this place. Things sure have changed. Parts of their old premises are now a chinese restaurant selling southern china(闽南) food. Food prices have been inflated recently, and to make troubles worse, they now have a 9% GST charge, making their food more costly. So do not trust the prices on their signboard, as the prices do not reflect the GST charges. To be honest, I used to be a frequent customer, but I have not patronised them for some time. Lets get to the meat of the review. I ate a $7.60(inclusive of GST) oyster egg omelette. As you can see, the portion is ridiculously meagre. I counted like 5 oysters in the omelette. The oyster egg omelette taste average, and I can tell you that many other places serve better omelettes. The next better option is a $10(GST not inclusive) plate. At these prices, I feel that the customer is being charged close to restaurant prices, but without restaurant facilities and ambience. Its actually a roadside stall. Many stalls in geylang also have a buy 2 frogs, get 1 frog promotion, but we do not see this here. My thoughts on this place is that it is more suited for tourists as they can price gouge on unsuspecting prey. For the locals, I am sure that they can find better. The shop is always GoTo for yummy claypot frog porridge and other local dishes. They make sure everyone can sit and eat . Sometimes abit crowded. Recommend!! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great for frog leg porridge as it comes out at the same time. Zhi char dishes will arrive 1st but your rice comes with the porridge. Rubbish reason and rationale. Poor experience no matter how good the food is. Meal type: Dinner Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
