I used to love the curry rice at the old stall—it was a real comfort dish that brought me back to simpler times. Unfortunately, this recent version from the new stall really missed the mark—it’s a bit bland , the meat is dry and just lacks the old flavor. The curry is not thick enough. Tried the newly reopened scissor curry rice under the new owner, and it was a huge disappointment. Curry is sticky but bland, braised sauce is totally unacceptable. Zero taste, only looks black in colour. Interestingly the braised meat was still alright. Don’t bother trying, dine at your own risk. -.
