An authentic Chinese spot with a local vibe, decent flavors, and a major parking headache. This restaurant offers authentic Chinese food, though the flavors lean a bit light and subtle. While the overall taste is okay, it doesn't really stand out as unique or memorable. The crab porridge is a highlight and tasted quite good, but considering the price, it doesn't feel like the best value for your money. The staff are decent, and the restaurant has a very down-to-earth, local atmosphere. However, the biggest downside is the location; the area is incredibly crowded, making it very difficult to find a parking spot. An Authentic Teochew Gem in Song Wat! Rating: If you are looking for a truly authentic Teochew dining experience, this is the place to be. Every dish we ordered was exceptional, showcasing the classic, well-balanced flavors that are hard to find these days. The food feels incredibly genuine—it’s not just "good" food; it’s food that respects tradition. The steamed fish was cooked to perfection, fresh and delicate, while the abalone with glass noodles was a major standout, packed with rich flavor. We were also very impressed by their crispy shrimp rolls and the comfort-food dishes like the stir-fried tofu and fresh vegetables. Even the simple soups were well-executed and reminded me of traditional home cooking. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a fantastic spot for a gathering with family or old friends. Everything here is delicious and consistently high quality. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates real, no-nonsense Teochew cuisine. We will definitely be back!
