I was at this restaurant many times, usually to eat from the salad buffet, because their hot meals do not taste good and the meat and fish have bad quality. But the salad was always decent - not great, but okay when I was craving some fresh vegetables. Lately, it became impossible to buy a salad bar ticket separately for ~200 THB, now it is ~250 THB, because it includes free refill drinks. So far, so good. But the problem is that there are absolutely no unsweetened drinks, not even plain water. Everything is super sweet like cola, sweet ice tea etc. I hate that, and it is unhealthy too. So, the last two times I went there, I asked if I could just buy salad bar for ~200 THB and then order my water or iced matcha separately. They refused. I said, fine, but then I would want a small bottle of water, because I cannot drink sweetened drinks. The waitresses always declined and I had to make a big fuss and debate with the manager, so they finally and reluctantly gave me a bottle of water which costs them 5 THB without charging me. Water is by far the cheapest beverage, I really do not understand why it is not included in the buffet. Cola, lemonade, ice tea etc. are much more costly for them. They should be glad that some people take the cheap water, because either they prefer it or maybe as diabetics or athletes they want to take care of their health. I have spent tens of thousands of Baht at this restaurant over the years, and now I have to debate with 3 staff members for such a small favour. I will certainly never spend a single Baht more at any Sizzler branch in all of Thailand for the rest of my life. I am tired of bad service and of having to beg for a bottle of water, if I have to pay 50 THB more each time for those disgusting sweet drinks that I do not wish to consume.
