This is a great little family owned restaurant. Close to our house and almost always fairly busy. Good food with fair prices. It’s a Thai restaurant with Thai menu, but if you can speak Thai or you are willing to struggle, it’s a great local option. They do have an English menu available if you ask. Perhaps they’ll just bring it out if you don’t look Thai. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ฿100–200

Somtam Maewa is an authentic local Thai restaurant in Bang Thao. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful, making you feel welcome right away. It is a very popular spot for both lunch and dinner, offering a wide variety of dishes, with the grilled chicken and seafood being the main highlights. The food quality is excellent, and the prices are very affordable and fair. Highly recommended for those looking for genuine local flavors. Enjoy Bang Thao, Phuket, and Thailand!
