The bad reviews online are true! Personally I had a disappointing experience mainly due to the bad attitude and service. The young staff wearing glasses who attended to me was rude. He was looking at his phone despite saw us waiting to order and spoke in a dismissive tone. It made the whole experience uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Definitely won’t be coming back. There are better places to spend my money.

Ordered 3 bowls. Soup tasted fishy (not in a good way), fish didn’t taste fresh, fishcake tasted sour. Decided to walk along the store a couple of time to see what’s up, staff kept the refrigerator door open squatting in-front of it and browsing his phone, using the fridge as his personal aircon. This does not meet food safety standards. No wonder all the ingredients are spoilt. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

fish soup is not bad, average. but as other reviews mentioned. you only get a few slice of fish for around $6. The fish slice is very slightly thicker than average compared to other stall. The most overpriced item I saw was the braised meat rice which cost $2.80, which is almost double the original price from a few months ago. Not that it is their fault, a franchise like soon lee fish soup with several outlets across singapore is free to charge whatever price they like to maximize profits.
