We went to "SOPA Spanish Cuisine," located away from the city center. We were looking forward to enjoying delicious Spanish food. The restaurant had a cozy, homey atmosphere, but the chairs and tables gave a generally cheap impression. Both red and white wines were chilled in the same refrigerator, and white wine was only available by the bottle. Although we were the only guests, the food service was extremely slow. We ordered three types of paella. None of the seafood was fresh, and most of it was burnt, making us suspect cooking errors. It wasn't tasty at all. The steak, ordered medium-rare, was served almost rare, and the freshly fried croquettes were extremely cold inside, requiring another 20 minutes for re-frying. The cured ham seemed like it was just store-bought and sliced, the oxtail was unique, and the cheek confit was neither tender nor particularly good. The Iberico pork tenderloin needed some kind of sauce in addition to salt. Nothing was particularly tasty, and the service was poor, perhaps due to the staff's inexperience. The chef supposedly trained in Spain, but for some reason, he didn't speak Spanish, and his untied long hair while cooking felt unsanitary. The prices might be comparable to high-end restaurants, but everything tasted like it was prepared by an amateur. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2 Price per person: ฿2,000+
