Space Cafe & Kitchen is a small cafe among all the car maintenance shops in Ngau Tau Kok. The lunch set I order came with this creamy pumpkin soup and crunchy garlic toast. The fries were definitely the kind of wedges that I love. Freshly fried and served hot. The salad was served with black vinegar, which was refreshing. The burger itself was delicious, the patty was meaty, yet it was thick and couldn’t be held inside the burger, it kept sliding out even though I had cut the burger in halves and ate it in two goes, kinda messy. Food in Space Cafe & Kitchen was good at this price. However, the whole dining experience was very disappointing. The disinfected spray at the table was empty, and the spray bottle itself was very oily, so you would be left with no hand sanitiser but oily hands. Worse, when I asked for coffee to go with the set, I was told that there was no coffee today. When I asked for latte, I was told that there was no milk. After studying the menu for possible drink options, I asked another staff whether there is no coffee or no milk, and the answer I received was - “Oh there is no coffee because I haven’t switched on the coffee machine, do you want a cup?” And the cup of herbal tea taste like black coffee requires an extra HKD$15. Horrid!
