This was by far the best upscale Thai food experience in my life. The newly redesigned Spice Market restaurant of the Anantara Siam Bangkok hotel was a highlight of my stay in Bangkok. The menu offers an array of local dishes from different parts of Thailand purely and only from local farmers carefully selected by the young executive chef of the restaurant. The service goes beyond your expectations and experiences. Our waitress Paully guided us passionately through the extensive menu and ensured we had no allergies. Her attention to detail was a testament of genuine hospitality that makes you feel entirely at home. There was a lady chef (unfortunately I did not manage to catch her name) coming out of the kitchen to talk about some of her dishes and how she makes them. It was a gastronomical journey through Thailand with many little surprises in between. There was a traditional hand washing ritual at the table after our meal that was unique! And the little home made gift each guest receives from the restaurant at the end of the meal just put a big smile on our face and ensured me that I will be back to the Spice Market soon.
