Had a wonderful dining experience at Spicy Moment. The food was flavorful and authentic, with just the right level of spiciness, not too spicy, so it was enjoyable for everyone at the table. The Golden Egg was rich and tasty, the Stir Fried Tender Beef was tender and well seasoned, and the Baoqing Smoked Beancurd was delicious. The Eggplant with Long Bean was a pleasant surprise, my friend normally doesn't like eggplant, but she enjoyed this dish here. The Hunan Fried Rice was fragrant and paired perfectly with the other dishes. The owner shared that the restaurant has been around for about 16y in Shanghai and has been in Singapore for around 3y. Spicy Moment has officially brought the ultimate Hunan food scene from Shanghai to Singapore, and it is an absolute mood! The interior is gorgeous, sleek, and perfect for a chic date night or a gathering with friends who appreciate real flavor. If you think Hunan food is just about intense burn, this place will completely change your mind. The spice level has a serious kick but it’s incredibly savory, deeply fragrant, and so well-balanced that you literally cannot stop eating. It’s that elite, addictive kind of heat. You cannot leave without ordering: Golden Egg: Perfectly crispy, coin-shaped, and tossed in an amazing blend of chilis and black beans. A total standout. Baoqing Smoked Beancurd: Packed with deep, smoky flavor and beautifully cooked. Hunan Fried Rice: Super fragrant with amazing wok hei—the perfect grain to tie the whole spicy meal together. Service was fast and friendly, and the vibes are unmatched. I would say it much better than the famous green hunan resto.
