I visited Splash Cafe and Restaurant Phuket for the elephant photo experience, and while the photos turned out absolutely stunning, my overall experience left me with mixed feelings. After my session when the area started getting busier, I witnessed something that changed how I felt. I saw some of the handlers carrying sticks and at one point I saw an elephant being hit. That was very upsetting for me and immediately made me uncomfortable, so I decided to leave. While I’m grateful for the beautiful photos, seeing that raised serious concerns about the welfare of the elephants. I truly hope management ensures these animals are treated with care and respect at all times, because they deserve kindness and protection. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ฿800–1,000

Elephants have poor hearing. Also, even the slightest action by an elephant could be fatal to a customer.
