I have visited Starbucks stores in many different countries, and this was by far the worst Starbucks experience I’ve had. This wasn’t my first disappointing experience at this store. On a previous visit, I ordered and paid for my coffee, but the staff repeatedly asked me to confirm my order. I showed them my payment record and patiently waited while they checked. It eventually turned out to be an issue with their own system, not my payment. Today, while I was using my phone to record study notes at what I believed was a normal speaking volume, another customer complained about me. What disappointed me most was how the situation was handled. No staff member approached me to let me know that my voice was disturbing someone. I was not asked to lower my voice, nor was I reminded that I needed to make a purchase before staying. Instead, I was immediately asked to leave. From my previous visits, I have often noticed other customers having conversations that were just as loud or even louder, so the way this situation was handled felt inconsistent. I understand that mistakes happen and that staff need to maintain a comfortable environment for everyone. However, professionalism starts with communication. A simple conversation would have given me the opportunity to lower my voice or order a drink instead of being asked to leave without any prior discussion. Based on these experiences, I believe the customer service and communication at this store still have significant room for improvement.
