I ordered 4x Iced Latte, 1x Mocha Frappuccino and 4x chicken & mushroom pie. The mocha frappuccino is for me. For context, I ordered the 4 iced lattes and 4 chicken mushroom pies for the hotel concierge and security because I've worked late nights before and I understand that it's tough hence I thought of buying a "perk me up" for the staffs. Continuing on with the story. I went down to the hotel concierge and waited for the delivery. When the rider arrived, he proceeded to take out my orders from his top box and that was when the drinks started spilling out, through both bags. (remember this, this is important). When the drink started spilling out, we were all deer in the headlights. Me, my girlfriend & the grab delivery rider and his wife were all shocked because it looked like there was a mini waterfall happening right in front of my eyes. The grab rider was so shocked he didn't know what to do. The hotel entrance was being flooded with iced lattes, the driver was just pausing with his hands in mid air holding the starbucks bag because he was so lost. We made a mess of the hotel entrance because of the spilled iced lattes. 1 of the lids was not closed properly, another cup has a broken 'line' which caused the whole drink to spill. After collecting the bags, the grab rider was still waiting there, unsure what to do or from my perspective, if we would demand him to pay for the damage and I could see the fear in his eyes. My girlfriend was cleaning the spillage and since I couldn't speak thai properly, I asked my girlfriend to tell the grab rider that it's okay and they do not have to worry about it and they can go. (context; I know it's not their fault the cups broke / lid wasn't closed properly because I was an ex Starbucks employee up until 2022) The bag could fit 4 chicken & mushroom pies if placed horizontally and maybe with a disposable and bio-degradable tape that Starbucks normally uses to 'seal' the bag. However, I received my order with one chicken & mushroom pie vertical. This was important to me because I was meant to give the chicken mushroom pies away and it's not nice to give a chicken mushroom pie that has been slightly squashed because it was vertically placed right? Fast forward to us heading back into the hotel room. We called this store (because we bought our orders from this store) and the manager (I am going out on a limb here and guessing) and he (the manager) denied that it was his outlet's fault and that it was the driver. I can somewhat understand because I know that there are customers who will take advantage and try to get items for free / demanding a refund. We explained what has happened and our plight and he outright denied our claims. There was no "sorry" or sounding "apologetic" or even a "let me check and call you back tomorrow". After a few minutes, the manager offered that he can call another Starbucks around the vicinity and give us 2 iced lattes as service recovery. My girlfriend refused because we are going to catch a flight and do not have time. I ordered Starbucks because I know that when I receive my orders, they will always be in good quality. (I do not mind if there's a slight spillage because it is definitely normal especially when using food delivery services) but how the manager handled it and denied that it was his outlet but the driver just makes me wonder what is wrong with this manager. I am at a loss for words. Signed, ex employee of Starbucks (SG), a part time shift supervisor as well as a coffee master. Attached images as well for anyone reading this, for your reference. Also, a picture of me with my black apron in case anyone thinks I am lying. I understand that work is tiring and I always try to put myself in F&B workers because I was one for 12 years but man, what the heck service is this. Rated food and service 1 because of what happened. can't judge for atmosphere so I left it at 3. Edit: reached out to Starbucks TH Headquarters. Whether this shop is ever going to improve, I'm not really sure but there's that. All the best for future customers. Price per person: ฿1,000–1,200 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
