322 Sowolro Steak House – Grand Hyatt Seoul Dined here during a stay at the Grand Hyatt Seoul using an Amex FHR credit, which made it an easy decision to try the in-house steakhouse. We opted for the prix fixe dinner for two—each with two appetizers, an upgraded 400g American ribeye, sides, and dessert with coffee/tea. Service: Excellent and thoughtful throughout. The hostess (wish I had caught her name) spoke solid English and handled our reservation seamlessly after our preferred night was fully booked. I had mentioned wanting a window table with panoramic Seoul views—while unavailable initially, she remembered and later moved us mid-meal for dessert once one opened up. Small touch, but very well executed. She also paced the meal perfectly after I mentioned we tend to eat quickly. Food: A strong showing overall with a few minor critiques. * Hanwoo beef tartare: standout dish—well-balanced, flavorful, elevated further with caviar and egg. * Scallops: fresh and sweet, but could have benefited from a more consistent and deeper sear. * Ribeye (400g American): well-executed—properly cooked, nicely seared, and flavorful. The selection of eight sauces was a nice touch; the Korean chimichurri and gochujang-based option added a unique local twist and worked well. * Dessert: lime cheesecake (not key lime), served with tea/coffee and petite fours—solid finish. Value: Roughly ~$100 USD per person (plus ~$20 for the ribeye upgrade). For a hotel steakhouse in Seoul with this level of service and setting, pricing felt fair—especially with the convenience of dining onsite. Overall: A very solid option if you’re staying at the Grand Hyatt Seoul or looking for a steakhouse with a view. Service stands out, food is consistently good with a few minor execution gaps. We had a superb experience at The Steakhouse restaurant inside the Grand Hyatt Hotel. The dinner courses were expertly crafted and prepared. Each dish brought something new and was absolutely delicious. The highlight for me had to have been my steak, which was without a doubt the best cut of beef I have eaten this year. Further, the wait staff are excellent and highly attentive. They brought out our steak cutting knives, for us to choose, explained menu selections in great detail, and most importantly, made us feel at home. The vibe is also relaxing yet not overly stuffy, the steakhouses’ volume is quiet enough to talk amongst yourselves, but not too quiet to where you would have to whisper. Overall, this was a great dining experience and I highly recommend it for a special occasion or romantic date night. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
