A tiny little restaurant on Nishiki Market but don’t let the size fool you — the wagyu and Kobe beef here is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. Probably the best value spot on the whole street for trying proper wagyu. Quick preparation, seating available and even a toilet nearby. A definite highlight of the market. The wagyu, drinks, and affogato were top tier. As far as price goes, you will not get wagyu more cost effectively than this for the quality without making it yourself. The steak melted in my mouth, and I could not help myself but order more. It was very good and worth every penny spent. The service was great and the atmosphere was peaceful as well. Overall I very much so enjoyed steak and wine and will stop by here again the next time in Kyoto! Price per person: ¥4,000–5,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
