At Sugarray Apartment, the bartenders were rude from the moment we walked in. Before we even said a word, we were treated as though we were unwelcome, based purely on how we looked. There was no attempt to engage us as customers, only dismissiveness and visible hostility. What makes this unacceptable is that they knew nothing about us. They had no idea who we are, how we conduct ourselves, or the values we were raised with when interacting in public spaces. Yet a judgment was made instantly, and we were treated accordingly. This wasn’t a misunderstanding or a service slip. It was a conscious decision to stereotype, and it resulted in a poor and unfair experience. While Thailand’s tourism industry has had to contend with genuinely bad behaviour from some visitors, using appearance as a shortcut for character is lazy, damaging, and unjustifiable. What stood out most was the contrast. Other patrons of different ethnicities were treated with warmth and ease, while we were met with indifference and visible irritation. The drink is very small, price to high. Inside the glass have just ice and the drink is like a shot. When I tell them about it . One woman laughed at me almost and tell me to have a nice holiday. I think id was a stuff Price per person: ฿800–1,000 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
