Pretty good dimsum but certain dishes better than others. HK style congee was good, so were siew mai, egg tart, fried rice, prawn dumplings noodles, liu sha bao, char siew bao. Didn't like the butterfly pea hargow, it had crunchy veg bits, which was weird to me. The traditional hargow also fell apart easily. Chee cheong fan was alright. Teh peng didn't hit the spot, tasted watered down. Hot barley quite thick, pretty good. Service was fantastic. Area we sat at was quite warm and acoustics not fantastic, got quite noisy as more tables were filled. Sgd100 for 2 adults and 3 young kids. Ambience was nice due to high ceiling. Food is not quite value for money, there are other more casual places we would rather patronise for the food quality if it's not a special occasion requiring posher ambience. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: SGD 30–40 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Had a variety of dimsum and fried food (pictured) for lunch. Food is not bad and priced reasonably. Moonlight kway teow was not great. A zhichar stall would’ve done it better. Pandan char siew pau is too sweet and the normal kind from other dimsum places is already sweet enough without the pandan flavour. Service was good. Worth a try if in the area. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: SGD 20–30

DIM SUMSHINE Sum Dim Sum (Bedok) delivers a consistently pleasant dining experience, thanks to its excellent service and attentive, observant staff. Food arrived quickly during my visit, which made the meal feel smooth and well-paced. The quality shines especially in their spicy dumpling selections, tofu and fried noodles—both flavorful, well-executed, and definitely worth ordering again. Some items, like the glutinous rice and carrot cake, were more average in comparison, but still enjoyable enough as part of the overall spread. Their chilli and shallot mix are nice too. Such a beautiful add-on. The restaurant’s environment is clean and comfortably cooled with good air-conditioning, creating a relaxed space to dine in. Soft Cantonese music in the background adds a charming touch, enhancing the atmosphere without being intrusive. Price-wise, Sum Dim Sum sits on par with similar dim sum spots, offering good value for the quality and service provided. Overall, it’s a reliable and satisfying choice for dim sum lovers in Bedok.
