My favorite place for sunset drinks in Phi Phi. I came here on three of my four nights on the island. This place is super friendly and cosy and comes with amazing views. Prices are super fair. Old school Thailand prices. If you come a bit earlier you can choose one of the hammocks facing the bay and enjoy some sunset beers. Of pre dinner snacks. My experience at Sunflower Beach Bar was terrible. I ordered a burger. That’s it. Nothing complicated. I waited a long time. When I asked where it was, the staff member just pointed at the kitchen and said they were making it. No apology. No checking. No urgency. I waited another 30 minutes. When I asked again, he suddenly acted confused and said I never ordered a burger at all. First it was being made. Now it never existed. Complete mess. No organisation. No communication. No accountability. Just wasted time and bad attitude. Do not go here. There are plenty of other places that can actually take a simple order and get it right. This place clearly cannot. Edit: Your response is more concerning than the original issue. I ordered a burger. After waiting around 30 minutes with no sign of it I went up to double check that it had been put through. I was told it was being made. After waiting longer I asked again and was then told the burger had never been ordered. That is not a misunderstanding. That is a clear breakdown in communication and organisation. It cannot both be in the kitchen and never placed. Trying to rewrite what happened and imply this is somehow my fault does not reflect well on your business. Other customers having good experiences does not invalidate mine. Reviews are based on individual experiences and this was mine. The dismissive tone and personal remarks in your reply say far more about your professionalism than my review ever could. Firstly, my sincere apologies for your less than stellar experience at Sunflower.Secondly, I have spoken to my staff and my waiter remembers you distinctly. You ordered a serve of french fries and another food item, and while talking to him you asked him if it was possible to do a beef burger with vegetables. He clarified that yes we could do this, but you didn't actually confirm that you wanted to go ahead and order the burger. You failed to mention in your review that your fries and other food item was cooked and served in a timely manner. It was only after consuming those that you then asked where your burger was. My staff apologised and said he did not put the order in for the burger because he didn't realise that you wanted that as well. He asked if you would like to order it then, to which you said no because of the delay.Thirdly, please understand that English is none of my staff's main language and there can be misunderstandings, especially if the customer's main language is also not English. When you are in a foreign country it can be helpful for all to reclarify orders. I will explain to my staff to triple check orders in future so this doesn't happen again.Finally, I think it's extremely harsh to go to such lengths to denigrate our business in the manner you have - all because of a misunderstood request.My staff member you spoke with is the absolute loveliest guy who only started working with us this month and he is doing amazingly well. We have had nothing but praise and excellent comments about his service, and there is absolutely nothing in his manner to suggest a bad attitude.To say there is "no organisation, no communication, no accountability" etc etc -- and do not go here because we can't take a simple order etc etc - is completely unjustified. I actually feel sorry for you, that you can be so upset about having "wasted" another 30 minutes of your holiday in a beautiful, lush paradise, staring at a gorgeous waterfront view, while you waited. This over the top reaction says far more about you than it does about us.If only a missing burger was all we had to worry about, life would be grand indeed.
