Enjoyed a relaxing lunch omakase with my husband at Sushi Rin in Tsim Sha Tsui. The 13-piece nigiri set offered great value. Standouts included the delicate Ehime amberjack with gentle sweetness, shrimp with shrimp paste, creamy Hokkaido sea urchin, and flavourful red sea bream. Everything was fresh and well-prepared. The food was around 4 stars—decent quality, but nothing particularly memorable for an omakase experience. Unfortunately, the service really brought everything down. The staff seemed rushed and impatient throughout the meal, which made the whole experience feel stressful rather than enjoyable. The entire sushi set was finished within 40 minutes, and right after, the manager quickly served soup and ice cream, then urged me to leave as soon as I was done. I understand the restaurant may have been overbooked, but I didn’t expect an omakase lunch to feel this rushed. Overall, the service was disappointing and took away from what should have been a relaxing dining experience. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
