This is our first time ever trying Pyongyang style cold noodles. The only comparison I can make is to South Korean cold noodles. The broth definitely has a little bit more of a sweetness to it, compared to the South Korean version. The noodles have a really nice earthy flavor. It's definitely a big portion for the price, but it's mostly noodles. The spicy version has a nice kick to it without being overwhelming, and it's still refreshing. The extra serving of the beef comes with fresh garlic but not really necessary if you're not a big eater. The aunty who served us was one of the happiest we've met on this trip! She didn't speak much English, but she really tried her best to help us out.
