Very disappointing experience at The Bakerism. I ordered what was presented as a cheesecake, and what I received was basically something closer to an ice cream dessert with a strange caramel topping. I genuinely did not understand what they were trying to achieve with it. The texture, the balance and the overall execution were nowhere near what I expect from a place positioning itself as a premium cake shop. The service made the experience even worse. Cold welcome, zero attention, zero hospitality. When you compare this with serious pastry shops like Garuharu and other high-level places in Seoul, the difference is enormous. Good pastry is not just about making something look nice for Instagram. It is about technique, taste, balance and service. Here, unfortunately, none of that impressed me. For the price and the image they are trying to sell, I expected much, much better. Very overrated.
