As someone who enjoys exploring cocktail bars whenever I travel, I can confidently say that THUUB Bar is one of the most thoughtfully crafted cocktail experiences I have encountered in Thailand. What sets this bar apart is not simply the quality of the drinks, but the remarkable concept behind them. The entire cocktail menu is built around the cycle of time, moon phases, and village life, creating an immersive narrative that guides guests through different moments of the day and night. It is a rare example of a bar where storytelling, local culture, and mixology come together so seamlessly. Even more impressive is the use of local spirits and regional ingredients throughout the menu. Rather than following global cocktail trends, THUUB celebrates Northern and Thai identities through carefully selected flavors, allowing each drink to express a genuine sense of place. During my visit, I intentionally selected four cocktails from different phases of the menu: The Dawn (รุ่งอรุณ) was bright, refreshing, and beautifully aromatic. The combination of peach, passion fruit, elderflower, and Riesling delivered elegance while remaining incredibly approachable. Song of the Forest (ไพรรำพัน) showcased exceptional balance. The Isaan rum, coconut, cacao, and milk clarification created a silky texture with remarkable depth and complexity. Comforting, yet sophisticated. Rice Meal (ข้าวแลง) was perhaps the most culturally expressive cocktail of the evening. Built around rice spirit, jasmine rice syrup, and roasted rice, it transformed familiar Thai ingredients into something refined, contemporary, and unforgettable. Dream Dose (พาฝัน) demonstrated the creativity of the bar team at its best. Perilla leaf gin, dashi vermouth, guava, and plum powder resulted in a cocktail that was savory, layered, and surprisingly elegant. A drink that continued to evolve with every sip. Beyond the drinks themselves, the bartenders displayed a level of professionalism, technical skill, and hospitality that elevated the entire experience. Every recommendation was thoughtful, every cocktail was executed with precision, and every detail felt intentional. THUUB Bar is not merely a place to have a drink; it is a destination for those who appreciate the art of cocktail making. The menu reflects a deep respect for local ingredients, regional spirits, and storytelling, while maintaining the standards one would expect from a world-class cocktail program. Without question, this was one of the most memorable bar experiences of my visit to Chiang Mai, and a place I would gladly return to again. Price per person: ฿200–400
