It’s the worst cafe on Mae nam and probably on Samui island. The food was awful- ALL the shrimps in every dish were raw! We couldn’t eat them. Pad thai was wrapped in overcooked deep brown color fatty egg, that was impossible to eat. Inside pad thai we found cabbage and it was also disgusting. Tuna salad was made with hard cabbage to make the dish cheaper so it was tough and not tasty. All the same with other dishes. Seems like we were in country cheap canteen. More over their 2 owners are not adequate. They shouted at guests and insulted them. If they don’t like anything on you, they will yell and scream and make a scandal. Our friends told us about that but this time we felt it by ourselves the first and the last time we came here. The owners of this cafe and resort Mae nam “woman” and man together screamed (!) at us for 10 minutes. Everyone in the cafe was looking at them both but they didn’t stop and the hysterical “woman “ shouted louder, louder and louder. She also came closer and closer in her hysterical seizure and only my husband stopped her from attacking us. So beware of this place, resort and food if you don’t want to spoil your mood and your health! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ฿1,200–1,400 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Absolutely terrible experience. We came to this place expecting a relaxing time by the beach in Thailand, but instead were treated with shocking disrespect. We sat down at a table by the water and not a single staff member approached us to offer a menu or even say hello. My girlfriend went to the restroom, and suddenly staff members ran up to us demanding to know where we were going. No greeting, no explanation, just aggressive questioning. It was completely inappropriate. When I tried to calmly ask what the problem was, they started shouting at me. The attitude was extremely rude and hostile for no reason at all. We were treated like we were doing something wrong just by sitting at a table. There is absolutely no customer service here. No professionalism, no basic courtesy, just angry and unfriendly staff. I have never experienced such rude behavior at any restaurant before. With so many great places around, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This place does not deserve your time or money. Toh-Kin-Kao was our favorite restaurant in Koh Samui, and we visited multiple times during our stay. The staff was amazing - always smiling and helpful. The restaurant's location by the beach was great, with fantastic views and plenty of shade under the palm trees. But the best part of Toh-Kin-Kao was the food - it was simply wonderful! The dishes were very tasty and well-prepared, and the prices were reasonable too. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Koh Samui.
