i experienced discrimination by the staff members. If you look like a foreigner, I suggest you visit the many other reputable and friendly franchies such as Twosome Place, Ediya Coffee, MEGA, Compose or Starbucks. as I had my luggage with me, I must have appeared as a blur foreigner to them. they didn't greet me at all and were noticeably cold when interacting with me, even though I ordered in fluent Korean (1 hot americano) and when paying spoke Korean too. The staff gave my americano with one hand as if I'm not deserving to be there. I sat at my seat and observed how kindly they treated the korean customers, even greeting them with many kind words as they exited the store. Finally, due to my luggages (and the store being virtually empty) I sat at a larger table. after some time one of the staff came out and tried to speak chinese to me (via papago translation) even though I clearly ordered in Korean. For the record, I'm not Chinese and do not speak the language. She was telling me to move to a smaller seat. I replied in Korean that I'm almost done drinking my americano and I'll leave. She did appear noticeably surprised that I could speak Korean (despite me ordering in Korean). Note that the store is still virtually empty at this point. As I walked out they made no effort to greet me in Korean. I've been to Korea 4 times and spent 2 months collectively and did not experience such treatment from other coffee franchises, even when I spoke in English. I will never visit another Tous Les Jours again. My only regret is not asking for a receipt as I cannot leave a review on Naver Maps without a receipt.
