Every once in a while I totally get a craving for Taco Bell here in Thailand. How happy I was to be by the river in Tha Maharaj and see a sign for Taco Bell!! I had to stop in. Taco Bell was founded in California in 1962 and grew into a major US fast food chain, while in Thailand it only arrived in 2019 with a smaller localized menu. The U.S. menu emphasizes Tex‑Mex staples and value items, whereas the Thai menu adapts flavors and positions itself as more of a trendy fast‑casual brand. This branch is very small and there are not a lot of tables but I noticed a lot of people taking food to go. I dined in and got my favorite item… a chicken quesadilla without the sauce. I like to add their prepackaged hot and fire sauces instead. The quesadilla was perfect!!!! I also got some free cinnamon twists from a very nice Norwegian guy who was full. They are made from fried wheat pasta, fried and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. They taste just like the cinnamon twists back home. One final positive note on why you should eat here is that Thailand’s Taco Bell menu is @52% cheaper than the US on average so you’ll be saving money! “Make a run for the border!!!!”. Man the employees is very nice the environment is cozy and nice and the food is yummy but i think the downside is that there is no baja blast but tacos is delicious i would like to come here again but the chicken tenders is dried so taco bell when i come back the chicken tenders better be juicy.
