Wow, my visit to 台灣鹽酥雞 大直創始總店 (Taiwan Fried Chicken Founding Headquarters) was an absolute highlight of my trip to Taipei! This place is a true gem and a must-visit for anyone craving delicious, crispy Taiwanese fried food. The moment you step up to the counter, you're greeted by a stunning display of ingredients ready to be transformed. The variety is just incredible! From all sorts of meats and vegetables to unique items like deep-fried mochi and sweet potato fries, the options seem endless. Instead of grabbing a basket, you grab a pen and a paper menu and check off exactly what you want. It feels so organized and efficient! Of course, the star of the show is their famous popcorn fried chicken. It lives up to its reputation and then some! Each piece was perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, with incredibly juicy and flavorful chicken on the inside. But what really impressed me was how everything else was just as delicious. We ordered a variety of items, and each one was fried to perfection, never greasy, and seasoned just right. The entire experience was fantastic. The staff was super friendly and incredibly quick, even with how busy the place was. You could tell they've perfected the art of Taiwanese fried chicken. It's a fun and truly satisfying meal that makes you feel like you've had a taste of authentic local culture. I'm already dreaming of my next visit! Overall: 5/5 stars!
