I walked in here honestly a bit hesitant. But very quickly I realized this place is a real gem. The menu is small and modest, yet precise and satisfying. The fish are incredibly fresh, the rice is perfect – tasty, airy, and light. And the soy sauce wow. Slightly thicker than usual, with a delicate, balanced saltiness that clearly shows it gets a special upgrade here. In short, a place absolutely worth visiting. Truly impressive quality. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Visited Taiyo right as they were closing, but they let us in to order and dine anyway keeping the restaurant open for a bit. Incredibly accomodating and nice staff, who despite not speaking much English engaged with us as we were playing cards and made sure that they got our orders right.Sushi was very nice and came fast, though it was a tad pricey. We ordered four rolls and they were all very tasty. Will recommend this for any sushi lovers in Bangkok.
