Takumi I recently visited Takumi with a friend. The Japanese food was absolutely delicious; it was my first time trying such dishes, and every bite was flavorful and delightful. The traditional ambiance of the restaurant added a unique charm, though the decor seemed a bit outdated and the space was quite cramped, making it difficult to move around. The staff appeared to be very busy, and I understand that this can affect their ability to engage warmly with customers. However, what impacted our experience was being politely asked to vacate our table to make room for other patrons while we were still eating. This was unexpected, especially since other diners who had arrived before us were not asked to leave. Additionally, we were disappointed to find that the restaurant did not have takeout containers available, which made it difficult to enjoy the leftovers of the delicious meal. It would be helpful if the restaurant could find a more consistent and considerate way to manage table turnover during busy times and provide takeout containers for customers who wish to take their food home. Despite these issues, the quality of the food made the visit worthwhile. Takumi offers a genuine taste of Japanese cuisine within a traditional Korean setting.
