Looking for nostalgic, old-school comfort drinks in Bangkok’s old town? Tao Tao on Maha Chai Road specializes in traditional milk-based drinks, inspired by Hong Kong–style tea houses. This is what they’re known for. I went for the Milo steamed milk set and Hong Kong-style milk tea—rich, smooth, and deeply comforting, with that familiar, nostalgic taste. The interior is warm and thoughtfully designed, with many cozy seating spots that make it a great place to sit, relax, and take a break. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, perfect for slowing down after walking around the Samran Rat / Phra Nakhon area. If you enjoy classic milk drinks and a relaxed café vibe in the old town, this place is well worth a stop.

I really enjoyed their steamed milk set but i was not so convinced by their soy milk. The sesame dumpling was great. Anyway it is a nice place to visit to sample something different.

Beautiful little hidden gem. Great atmosphere. A great place to sit, relax, and have some late night sweets. Steamed milk is really delicious. If you want a unique culinary experience give it a try.
