ゆったりとおいしいafternoon teaを頂けました 量が多いので2人でシェア、一人はteaだけ、というのも快く受けてくださり、年寄にはありがたかった。 ホテルロビーフロアなので子供が走ったりすると少しnoisy、2Fにでもあるといいかな・・・. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: $20–30

2019年3月中旬に1人で訪問。予約なし、1人でも気持ちよく対応して貰えました。担当してくれた女性が特に丁寧で、笑顔が素敵でした。紅茶も美味しく、スイーツも１つ1つどれも美味しかったです。朝ごはん控えめにして行ったけど、かなりお腹いっぱいになりました。

We got the epitome of an old-fashioned high tea here, and I sincerely hope the Tea Lounge resists the modern temptation to improve what is already a winning formula. Both the weekday and weekend offerings are simply brilliant, although I do wish they would change the themes more often. 3 whole months is a long time to wait for a new afternoon tea menu when you have already discovered somewhere worth returning to. Gastronomy, like most pleasures, is better when one is not made to wait quite so long for the sequel. The current British theme is perhaps one of the best yet. The gorgeous spread of precious little cakes, savouries, roast beef, baked salmon and scones was in keeping with the theme and simply splendid. Even the laksa was a winner, a dish so well balanced and obviously an act of culinary diplomacy for the local palate. The only dud was the Granny Smith apple dessert. Bland, airy and lacking both sweetness and acidity. A real pity, particularly when an apple dessert has been handed two of the most useful weapons in pastry and the pastry team somehow declined to use either. And honestly, desserts are supposed to be sweet. I wish pastry chefs would stop bending over backwards for people who insist everything be “less sweet”. They will never be satisfied. There is a certain futility in trying to make a dessert appeal to someone who regards sweetness as a character flaw. Give us a proper, indulgent high tea instead. Pile on the butter and sugar please. You'll have us as loyal, gushing fans for a really long time :) Still, the Tea Lounge has won us over yet again and we can hardly wait for the next round. Please let it be sooner rather than later.
