For many diners, this exceptional hospitality is enough to mask the minor flaws of the kitchen. However, the "Main Event"—the food—is a more complicated affair. The kitchen demonstrates a clear mastery of certain techniques, most notably in the Steamed Squid with Vermicelli and the Stir-fried Poplar Mushroom. These dishes are evocative of a high-calibre regional Chinese kitchen, showcasing a deep understanding of textural interplay and aromatic balance. Conversely, the failures in the more technically demanding or high-volume dishes—the dry Szechuan Spicy Chicken, the disappointing Prosperity Pig Trotter, and the lacklustre Sauerkraut Fish—cannot be ignored. Greeted Alex at the stall front, and his introduction impressed us. We decided to have lunch here with friends. It was a great experience as the food was excellent and the service was first class. The seasonal steamed clams were a delight and complemented by other tasty dishes and great service. The waitresses were attentive to customers, and we felt well serviced during the meal. The restaurant should learn from San Ren Xing for the excellent standard. Keep it up! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: SGD 30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The food here is surprisingly good. We ordered salted egg spinach, prawn vermicelli and sotong. They are all wonderful, as you can see we cleared our plates, except for sotong cause we plann to pack back All in all great taste. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
