We ordered tom yum soup and pineapple fried rice, but only the fried rice arrived. The tom yum soup never came. When we asked whether the order had been submitted, the staff simply remained silent. No apology was offered, and no explanation was given as to whether the order had been missed or delayed. Mistakes can happen, and we understand that. We weren’t expecting much, just a simple apology or a brief explanation of what happened. If someone had acknowledged the issue, we wouldn’t have felt so frustrated. What disappointed us most was being ignored when we tried to ask about our order. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I don’t think I’ll be coming back. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Normally, I take photos for my reviews, partly to show appreciation for good food and partly to give readers a visual reference. But this time, I’m leaving the camera out. What my friends and I experienced here was disappointing enough that the food didn’t feel worth photographing. We arrived at lunch time and were told to wait briefly as the restaurant was small and nearly full. Fair enough. Once a table opened, we sat down and placed our orders immediately. That was the last time the afternoon went smoothly. Soon after, we noticed something strange. Tables that arrived and ordered after us were being served before us, some of them with the exact same dishes we had ordered. At first, we brushed it off, assuming it was a small mix-up. But after multiple tables received their meals while we still waited, confusion turned to frustration. Eventually, one dish reached our table, followed by a bowl of rice. But my tom yum, which was meant to go with it, never came. My rice sat untouched, growing cold. Other tables continued to get served, including their soups. We waited. And waited. Forty-five minutes passed before more dishes started to arrive, but even then, one of our tom yum orders was still missing. My friend finally went to the kitchen to ask. That’s when we learned something that left us stunned, the chef was deciding which orders went out first, regardless of who ordered earlier. This arbitrary system meant that some dishes from our table were prepared and served while others were pushed back behind newer orders. When confronted, the chef reportedly became defensive instead of apologetic. Meanwhile, even small things like getting utensils became unnecessarily difficult. We had to ask multiple times for forks and spoons, and each request took far longer than it should have. These small lapses, combined with the chaotic kitchen management, revealed a lack of coordination that affected both the service and the dining atmosphere. When our final dishes finally arrived, the food itself was… fine. Nothing terrible, but nothing remarkable either. Under normal circumstances, it might have been an average meal. But after all the confusion, waiting, and tension, any enjoyment we might have had was already gone. If this restaurant hopes to improve, it needs to fix its internal systems and communication. Orders must be tracked properly, staff need to coordinate better, and guests deserve timely, respectful service. Until then, Tha Siam Thai Kitchen remains a risky choice. If you have the patience to wait, and luck on your side,you might still get a decent meal. But for anyone expecting a smooth dining experience, prepare to be tested.
