Located at the top floor of President Theatre (Causeway Bay MTR Exit D1), Thai Simple Kitchen is a fantastic find. It features a lovely Thai-style decor with a super chill outdoor terrace. Since the chefs and staff are all Thai, the food tastes incredibly authentic and traditional. Spicy & Sour Prawn Soup : Rich, robust, and mildly spicy. It comes with a massive, plump river prawn that is thick, juicy, and packed with flavor. Pomelo Salad: Refreshing and juicy pomelo chunks tossed with crunchy nuts. A perfect sweet-and-sour appetite starter. Stir-Fried Morning Glory: Excellent wok-hei! The veggies stayed vibrant green and crunchy, coated in a deeply savory and aromatic Belacan sauce. King Prawn Fried Noodle in Egg Net: A visual stunner. The flavorful noodles are wrapped in a delicate, golden egg net (like a Pad Thai "omurice"), topped with 2 huge, bouncy king prawns. Drinks: "Fresh Pineapple Juice + Fresh Mango Juice" special drink and a "Fresh Young Coconut” were the perfect sweet, refreshing contrast to the spicy meal.
