Ok, I’ll do it. Thai Smile restaurant is precious Thai Food Gem - I’m struggling with selfishly keeping it a secret - fame has a way of dimming sparkle - if I don’t leave a review on google, perhaps it will remain the same But noooo, this restaurant deserves to be recognized- these folks set the grade for local food on Koh Lanta - and I hope they are rewarded for their flavor clarity and Thai Food BRILLIANCE. We dined back to back nights, and we’ll go again. Try the Thai fried chicken, any of the Chef’s specials, and if you like curry - the massaman is a must!!(ordered spicy 3/5 - deliciously spicy. Do Not Order 5/5.) Dave’s wife, Lek, a five star resort chef, runs the kitchen; Dave makes colorful conversation as well as killer Mai Tais; and a multi - lingual, culturally gifted, waiter runs the floor - table to table making everyone feel like his neighbor. Next Thailand holiday, we will try to book one of Thai Smiles bungalows - for the ambiance and more Thai Smile food. KOB CUN KRUB ! Service: 5
