Visited Thasevi Food again after more than 10 years, and it was a very satisfying experience. Ordered the roti prata, mutton briyani and teh tarik. Roti Prata Texture has changed from the old crispy style to a more soft and fluffy type, but I actually enjoyed it. It’s light, not oily, with a slight crisp on the outside and absorbs the curry well. Very comforting and easy to eat. Mutton Briyani Impressive. The mutton was tender and not gamey, with a generous portion. The rice was fragrant, well-spiced and not too oily. A hearty and satisfying plate. Teh Tarik Smooth and well-balanced, not overly sweet. Very enjoyable. Overall, still a solid place for prata and briyani. No need to compare with the past — it’s still good today. Worth coming down to try. Will definitely be back again Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Vegetarian options: Yes

I had a fantastic experience at Thasevi. One thing that really stood out was the egg prata - it was served warm, which is surprisingly rare even among many prata spots in Singapore. That small detail made a big difference. The dal curry was equally impressive: rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. It complemented the prata perfectly and made the meal especially satisfying. Overall, it’s a place that clearly pays attention to quality and execution. Definitely worth visiting if you’re looking for great prata and comforting, flavorful dishes. So good you’ll lick your plate clean.

Far and above the best traditional (crispy + fluffy) roti canai in Singapore. Anyone who says otherwise has no tastebuds to speak of. 1. The prata is well executed 2. All 3 curries are distinct and delicious. Special shout-out to the fork tender chicken curry that's in a class of its own. Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
