Ordered tze char, which was absolutely garbage. Meat wasn't fresh, brocolli was amazingly unique with hard stem and overcooked florets, spinach with 3 eggs was spinach flavored water with 1 discernable egg type, 0 wok hey in all dishes, etc etc, just horrible and an absolute waste of money. I was looking forward to good food with friends and Im now very sad :C

I have no choice but to frequent this place as there are really limited eateries around the area. This place sells breakfast and lunch in a coffee shop style but transits into zi char restaurant in the evenings onwards. In the morning the place is usually quite chaotic and the some staff over are there perpetually cranky, I'm not sure if they are understaffed or if they are overworked. Had a particular incident where I ordered some food to be taken out. I paid and sat down and waited patiently, however after twenty plus minutes, I saw people that ordered after me collecting the same dish that I’ve ordered. Suspecting that my orders may have been missed, I went and asked the staff about it, but as usual they are impatient and frustrated when i talked to them as well as when they were talking among themselves. I explained to them people behind me have collected the same dish that I've ordered and I've waited 30 minutes. I asked if they have missed my order, and she couldnt answer. Suddenly,I heard someone shouted from the kitchen and said, "if you want to eat good food you'll have to need to wait and learn how to be patient!" (in mandarin) At this point I kind of lost it. Having worked in F&B before, I know that missing orders do happen, and all that is needed is to apologise get the orders out as soon as possible. Instead they went out and reprimand the customer for being impatient. I'm glad that I'm moving out of the area soon, because I'm so done with this eatery. Black Meat Served?! Looking for cereal black chicken meat as hard as a stone? You’ll find it right here at That Coffee Place Tze Char . Two weeks ago, I ordered and it was a complete joke. First, they sent the wrong omelette. Then came the “cereal chicken” — so hard you could use it as a paperweight, and the meat inside was black and spoilt. Even the cereal topping couldn’t hide how bad it was.
