Nice pet-friendly cafe we chanced upon while in the area. Many dog owners will bring their dogs and hang out over there. Coffee was decent! Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Just spent a glorious few hours here, and what a joint. The owner, Xiao Hui, is a hostess with the mostest. Every Tuesday, they have a BYOD night of sorts: Bring Your Own Drink / Doggo. And so you get an absolute invasion of furry friends; the chonkiest, cutest and cuddliest doggos and cattos. Everyone’s really chummy, and it’s a “can see, and can touch” night, as far as the doggies go at least. The owners are generally very happy for you to show their doggos some love. Can’t wait to be back, and they do a mean steak frites and risotto too. Ah, almost forgot to mention that they are very serious about their coffee too. A must-visit. Plus, it’s been around almost 5 years, which in Singapore terms, is an eternity, and a testament to the quality of the food and vibes. Such a lovely hidden gem! Visited The Barking Bean and it was such a chill and cosy spot — perfect for coffee dates or quiet catch-ups. The drinks were really good (loved the latte!), and their bakes were fresh and super tasty. You can tell everything’s made with care. Also really appreciate how pet-friendly the place is — saw a few cute dogs when we were there, and the vibe was just so welcoming. Staff were friendly and genuine, which made the experience even better. If you’re looking for a peaceful café with good coffee, great service, and a homely feel, The Barking Bean is definitely worth a visit. Will be back for sure!
