Honestly, I don’t understand the hype. The ambiance is really nice and cosy, and the restaurant itself has a great atmosphere. But the steak was overpriced for what we got — dry-aged, but unfortunately quite dry and not tender at all. I’ve seen a lot of reviews saying the steak here is amazing, but honestly, I have to disagree. Maybe we just have very different standards when it comes to steak, because I’ve had much better steaks in Bangkok for the same price. At the same price elsewhere, you can get proper Wagyu beef that is significantly more tender and enjoyable. For me, the ambiance is a 9/10, but the steak definitely wasn’t worth the price. The atmosphere was great, and the food was even better. We stumbled upon Beastie after we couldn’t modify our reservation at a New York steakhouse, and I’m so glad we did. Beastie exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: ฿2,000+
