小さいけど魅力が凝縮されてるカフェ。最近は滅多に食べないケーキですが、珍しく食べる気になったのもこの空間のせいかも。アイスコーヒーは気持ちもう少し濃いのが好きだけど、それでも美味しかった。先週末来たらほぼ満席だったので平日のランチの時間に訪れました。. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: $10–20

The Better Half. Block 1, Everton Park,. Unit # 01-43,. Singapore 081001 Location = "The Better Half" cakery and cafe is located at one corner end of HDB Block 1 at Everton Park. CDC vouchers are accepted here. History of Everton Park = The HDB ( ︎Housing & Development Board) blocks at Everton Park were first built for port workers in 1965. Decor / Ambience ***********************. This is a small minimalist cafe with warm wooden furnishings, soft lighting, and simple rustic touches. The cafe space feels intimate and homely, with a few small tables indoors, and a charming outdoor corner lined with dried autumn foliage and hanging lights — perfect for a quiet coffee break or dessert. The Menu ***************. The cafe features delicate cakes and pastries for sale, and coffee, tea and matcha beverages are also available. I had the Pear Crumble Tart priced at SGD6.50 for takeaway in my own tupperware box. This Pear Crumble tart was delicious! The pears were soft and sweet, and the topping was wonderfully crispy and buttery. It's the perfect balance of textures and flavours ️ with a rich, comforting taste that makes for a scrumptious dessert. These days, I always carry two or three plastic tubs in my Muji shopping jute bag — it makes takeaways more convenient, and helps reduce waste for sustainability reasons. Service = The service staff were friendly and affable. The moment I entered the cafe, the lady owner greeted me with a warm smile and proceeded to inform me of their products. She was genuine, kind and amiable. She allowed me to store my Pear Crumble tart in my own plastic tub for takeaway. I observe that the cafe was packed with customers when I was there at 2.20pm. That signifies that this is a popular cafe. Hope to be back soon for more of their other cakes:). Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Takeaway Meal type: Other Price per person: $1–10
