Chatuchak/JJ Market, Bangkok The Breakfast Club was not even on my radar when I entered the market. It was a small corner stall—clean, very minimalist, with a few people already sitting inside. As I walked by, I happened to glance over at the barista, and she smiled and said good morning. And honestly, that’s what drew me in. I had to stop and try their cappuccino. Too often, coffee shops become known quickly through social media, and I think that’s great. Good for them. I’m glad it works out that way. Sometimes you arrive at a place that looks beautiful, the vibe is perfect, everything is set up for the photos—but the baristas are tired, overworked, or just plain rude. And for me, that ruins the whole experience. I’m going to be honest—the coffee itself wasn’t remarkable or memorable. It was fine. Not bad. Just… fine. Coffee shops are more than the drink. It’s the people making it. The Breakfast Club was clearly busy, and the baristas still had time to greet someone just walking by. That caught me off guard in the best way. I’m really glad I stopped. I got a cappuccino, supported a small stall, and left with a small moment of kindness I didn’t expect. Enjoying life, one coffee shop at a time!
