Spectacular view to the water earns two stars. The food is (generally) mediocre: some acceptable items, many which simply should not be cooked. A truly tragic 'mac and cheese' comes to mind. The problem (as with so much else at this tragic property) is the service. One waitress (Yah) really puts a lot of love into her work, is smiling and polite, but the rest of the staff is in an actively bad mood, rude, and intrusive. Worst of all is the "musical duo" which played one night, brutalizing their way through the contemporary songbook, off-tune, no phrasing without any sense of the meanings of the lyrics. When I mentioned this to the manager, he did not seem to understand. Quite remarkable that a manager at an international resort would be functionally nonfluent in English -- but the problem obtains throughout the whole (beautiful) facility.
