The Kinopolis offers a beautifully considered dining experience where Japanese ingredients meet Italian technique with precision and restraint. Each course is delicately composed, balanced in flavour, and presented with a sense of quiet confidence that reflects thoughtful craftsmanship rather than excess. Standout dishes for me included the Caviar & Classic Blinis, the Valoute of Hokkaido Corn and Seafood, and the Crispy Madai à la Beurre Blanc — all elegant, nuanced, and harmonious. The Madai, in particular, was exceptional, highlighting the natural sweetness of the fish while remaining light and refined. Dessert was equally impressive. The Grandma Chocolate Orange Mousse stood out for its layered textures and balanced flavours — smooth chocolate mousse, a bright orange jelly at the centre, and a crisp crumble that added contrast. The interplay of citrus acidity, gentle sweetness, and subtle bitterness made it complex yet approachable, far from overly rich or bland. Overall, The Kinopolis delivers a refined Italian-Japanese fine dining experience with excellent ingredient sourcing, careful technique, and a calm, intimate atmosphere.
