I opted for the ala carte nasi ulam with 3 sides: egg, bergedil and tempeh goreng for $6.50. It was my first time having nasi ulam and it actually reminded me of leicha. I found I liked this more because the herbs are aromatic but the taste feels more balanced. The tempeh goreng is milder than it looks and pairs really well with the rice. The green chilli is exceptional. Honestly, I think they could even sell it separately. The only reason I took a star off was that the food was lukewarm, even though I visited before noon and well before the lunch crowd. It is a bit of a shame because the food would have been even better if it was served hot. Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Once a while we drop by this family business of the Little Red Hen & Warung Parsanga. Love the Nasi Ulam from The Little Red Hen and varieties of local dishes from Warung Parsanga. Every dishes freshly cooked on the day itself. Warung Parsanga started having their food business since located at famous Botanical Hawker Centre back in the 80s. If you are in the CBD area, you must make a point to come to Amoy Street Hawker Centre to try their food. You wouldn’t regret it! Plus they are very friendly to all their customers. Well recommended!
