Located at the very top of century square, I believe this place deserves more recognition. Steaks were definitely the star of the show. Well seasoned with a robust flavour and excellent texture, cooked perfectly. Medium rare had a warm pink centre. Prices were reasonable and quality was up to standard. Most of the sides were average, though. Roasted potatoes had a nice flavour and texture but were completely cold. The calamari was made with actual squid, and while they had a bite to them they weren't very supple, likely due to being frozen, not really worth 9.90. But, mashed potatoes were pleasant and salad came with a unique and tasty olive dressing. The coconut shake had no ice cream and tastes more of coconut water, coconut milk, and milk combined, but it is a good creamy option for people too full for a milkshake. In terms of service, friendly and warm staff are always ready to accede to requests. Ordering is easy and payment is easy. Food arrived promptly, but was definitely not pre-cooked. Price per person: SGD 20–30

2nd time here after a couple of years, very disappointed with the quality of Vongole, Truffle fries and Halibut Fish & Chips. Chicken chop with mushroom was very simple but good for elderly. Chicken drumlets were standard as starter. Onion rings were slightly over fried, but not dry. However, the rest weren’t. Truffle fries did not taste of any truffle Fish & Chips is oily and no salt in fish. Fried tasted old. Vongole is tasteless; sauce wasn’t cooked with chicken stock, they tasted like the clams were put on top of the pasta cooked in water. I asked to see the manager, the staff said ‘She’s also working!’ The only good thing was the manager was apologetic and changed our pasta to carbonara. For this, she deserved 2 stars for service Meal type: Dinner Price per person: SGD 20–30 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

Had a really wonderful experience at The Meathöuse at Century Square, Tampines. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out—especially from Maisara, who was incredibly warm and attentive. She made my kids feel so comfortable and welcomed, which made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable for the family. The food definitely delivered as well. The lamb shank was the highlight—tender, flavourful, and cooked just right. You can tell there’s real care put into the dishes. On top of that, the lunch and dinner sets are great value for money, offering generous portions without compromising on quality. It’s not often you find a place that ticks all the boxes—great service, delicious food, and reasonable pricing—but The Meathöuse does exactly that. Truly a hidden gem in the heartlands.
