2024年2月訪問。ルーフトップバーがあり、そこからチェンマイの夜景が見られる。ただし2階（3階だったか）なのでそんなに高くはなく、横にある大きな道を行き交う人や車を眺められる程度なのでそんなに期待してはいけない。とはいえ雰囲気は悪くないのでホテルが近くなら軽く飲みに行く場所としては良いかも。 Price per person: ฿100–200 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Thanks for the review. Yes it is only on the third floor and looks over the moat water, Thapai Gate and has a panoramic view of the city. However, 3 floors are the maximum allowed in the old town which is a great bit of town planning and kept the city feeling small. So for the more breathtaking views you need to leave the old town and use a hotel or shopping mall rooftop bar. A very different experience and price but yes a better view for sure! Yesterday we went to the Moat House for Burns night, complete with entertainment and a haggis meal. The entertainment consisted of a Scotsman (I'm sure) who played the bagpipes and read some of Burns poetry, making a reasonable job of it all. The haggis meal was an insipid selection consisting of a cheap haggis, mashed potatoes, peas, but no sign of real 'neaps.' I could not rate this meal more than two stars. However, this was a one-off and they at least tried, and I'm happy to rate the Moat House a solid four stars for what it generally offers. It occupies three levels and the top level is obviously good for views of the road and moat, particularly at night. The ground floor is where most of the seating and tables are. There is a lovely airy feel here, as half the area is open to the outside but of course it is covered, creating the best of both worlds. There's a wide range of drinks and food at very reasonable prices. A popular place during day and evening, and well worth its popularity. I was particularly impressed with the information shown throughout the evening on some of the screens, letting customers know what was happening and when. Price per person: ฿400–600 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
