Walked towards the secret garden to discover if they are still open. Two street doggos joined us for the stroll. Why do Thai dogs need a person to walk them when they are free, I'm not sure but we're off to a very wholesome walk! Anyways, we got to the secret garden and ordered two Chang beer. Amazing view and they were building up the area. It felt like we were having an authentic friendship with the two men who ran the spot. A friend of theirs just arrived with fish and cigarettes from Laos. The doggos that joined us still played around and wanted pets. Unfortunately, we had to leave and asked if we could come back to have more drinks and possibly dinner and paid the bill. They asked for 400 baht for 2 Chang beer. I said that's not correct. It became 320 baht which is still waaaaaay to much. I was confused and asked to write it down. We had about 290 baht with us or needed to break a 1000 which they couldn't do. This ended up an argument until a nice German man on a scooter delivered more beer and food to the restaurant. He said this bullshit and apologized to us. The secret garden immediately changed the price and was embarrassed. Apparently, he has nothing to do with the business but just keeps people honest. Beautiful place but the secret garden was the only place in Thailand that we had to argue with dishonest Thai locals Meal type: Other Price per person: ฿200–300 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5
